UPDATED MOB BLOG

Hello Swimmers!

I am in the process of updating the blog...I will be adding the new MOB Information Sheet very soon!  I hope everyone has had a great start to the MOB season.  I do miss swimming with everyone and I hope one day to come back.  I battled a Staph Infection in my knee joint all summer and I am on the road to recovery with lots of PT on my knee.  It will be a while before I am up and "running" again.

Spring Is Here!

Hello Mobsters!  I believe spring is here!  What that really means is hopefully we are out of the below zero temps and up into above 30 for the most part...I am sure we will have a spring storm and wind from now until mid June, but that is a lot better than icy roads and below 0 temps!  I have changed the website around  just a bit so it is more organized with the workouts.  You will see the workouts on top of this page..Ara's, Stu's and Brads...this was the easiest way for me to post the workouts since they came from 3 different formats.  Please feel free to look ahead as they are posted if you like to go to bed stressed out!  Anyway, the workouts have been great and I believe everyone is working hard!  Keep up the good work and remember you are in control of your workout!

See you tomorrow morning....also keep your eyes and ears open for someone anyone interested in joining our team!

March Madness!

Here is March! Boy it seems like March is the month when people buckle down the training for upcoming races this summer.  So lets keep it going in the pool!  The workouts are GREAT lately, pushing the intervals and yards!!  Keep up the good work and thank you for keeping the MOB going.  The best way to help keep the MOB going is by word of mouth!  Keep up the hard work and don't be afraid to enter in a swim meet or triathlon this summer.  We have State Games here in Billings that have both swimming and a sprint distance triathlon.  You can always form a relay team with other people if you do not like to run or bike.  It is a lot of fun!

I am posting Wed/Fri workouts so you can see them in advance...ONLY if you want too!  Of course if it is going to keep you from coming...DON'T LOOK!  And remember....nothing is ever set in stone and YOU can adjust YOUR interval to what YOU are comfortable with!

Montana Masters State Swim Meet March 26-27

Hello Mobsters!  I have added the Contract for the Montana Masters Swim Meet that will be in Bozeman on March 26-27.  We had a lot of fun last year when we went to Helena.  I hope people head up to Bozeman and do the MOB proud!  It is very laid back and by no means does anyone need to feel like they do not belong....because it is an event where all people are winners!

February Yardage

I have added another spreadsheet to keep track of  your yards in February.  I did not put names in.  All you have to do is type in your name.  The formula is calculated in.  I will go back and add in the average yards this week.  Sorry about not having the 31st on the January sheet.  Anyway, looking forward to the BAC meet this weekend.  Keep working hard and thank you Ara and Stu for the great workouts!

BAC Swim Meet- Feb 5-6

Hello Mobsters!

Great  job swimming so far in January!  I see several of you are keeping track of your yardages so I will continue on into February.  Please consider swimming in the BAC Swim Meet February 5-6 at RMC.  I have included the sign up sheet.   Just scroll down to the entry page, print it out and circle the events you want to swim in.   Please get them to me by this Wednesday at practice.  It is $14 plus $2 per event.  The relays are the first events (besides the 500 / 1000) on Saturday and Sunday.  If we have 4 people then we could possibly swim in a relay?

Keep up the good work and I will have a February spreadsheet by next week.

Happy New Year Mobsters!

Happy New Year Everyone!  I was pleasantly surprised on how many people were at the pool on Monday!  Now is the time to set those goals of getting back into shape.  I have the perfect "tool" for you to keep track of your yardages.  I have created a spreadsheet to keep track of all the yards you swim in January.  There is a TOTAL column and an AVERAGE column.  All you have to do is input your yardages for the day.  I have it set up so EVERYONE can edit (input your yardages).  Please make sure you ONLY add to your name and not delete or change anyone else's totals!  I am sure everyone will be able to somewhat keep track of what they have swam, but be care not to input in the wrong row.  I have put most of the names in that I could think of and off our our MOB email list...PLEASE if you are NOT on this list...ADD YOUR NAME!  I am not that great with everyone's names and if I missed you, I apologize.  I have added a few rows in case I have missed someone and the TOTALS and AVERAGES should be programmed.  I will check each day to make sure everyone is set to go to start keeping track!  Good luck in 2011 and I look forward to seeing each and everyone one of you in the pool!  Stu and Ara...bring it on!!!
